Temporary Hangar

Case-Study5

Temporary Hangar

CHC Helicopters approached Relocatables Australia to design and install a temporary hangar for the RAC rescue helicopter at the Bunbury Airport.

The project brief outlined the facilities required to support the helicopter crew on 24 hour roster. A significant design criteria was that the maximum height for the dome roof was 6m with a minimum internal width of 15m for the blades of the helicopter.

This facility was designed and installed in 6 weeks and was in operation for 12 months whilst the permanent facility was constructed. Once we assisted CHC move into their permanent home we dismantled the hangar, leaving only a level pad.
