Temporary Workshop for Mining
Temporary Workshop for Mining
Leighton Contractors (Thiess) approached Relocatables Australia to design and build a temporary workshop to support their cut back contract at the Telfer Minesite.
The brief was to create a 5 bay workshop that contained all of the facilities to support a fleet of 30 trucks plus the ancillary equipment. The added complexity was that the bays needed to have sufficient room to allow the Cat 793 trucks to fully raise the trays whilst in the bays.
The scope of the work undertaken by Relocatables Australia included cutting and excavating the existing concrete. Design and install concrete plinths and flooring, fabricate and install the 28 containers (3 high), fabricate and install all structural work (stairs and alkways), fabricate and install domes, side and end walls and install all services (water, waste, lube, power, lighting and air)
